The sweet moments

So I wanted to just get on and say how grateful I am for my two girls and how much they make me smile. Brooklyn is a sweet heart that just smiles all of the time especially when you talk to her. She also loves to eat her hands and she is starting to make new sounds I just love to give her kisses. When it comes to Lily she keeps me on my toes and man is she is a smarty pants. Like today we are in the midst of potty training her and one time that I took her to the bathroom today she looks over at me and just says " Mom you are just fabulous" and then she gave me a huge smile :) Then later tonight after I got off work I was telling Paul that my back is probably going to hurt tomorrow as I was holding a toddler while I was cleaning. So a few minutes later Lily walks over to me and says "Mom my feet are killing my back" She picks up on things she hears quite fast. I am just trying to enjoy these moments I have with my girls when I am home with them instead of at work :)

Memorial Day Weekend!

Yeah for Memorial Day weekend and time off of work! Paul and I went up and visited the campers this year even though we did not stay overnight. We did not have a tent as ours has a hole in it and Brooklyn has been sick this week so we thought it was best to keep her at home. It was still fun to go up in the mountains and take in the scenery and fresh air. We went up on Saturday and Sunday. When we went up on Sunday we brought Lily's bag of stuff to stay the night and when we left we said goodbye to her and she was all happy and told us she would see us tomorrow. Well about twenty five minutes after we left we got a phone call from Lily wondering if she could come home. we were told that she had asked to sit on daddy's lap and when she was told we were not there she started to cry. Uncle Mike was nice enough to drive her down to our place on his way home ( thank for the rest of you who offered to drive her as well) It was funny though when Mike got to our place he said she was talking about monsters and how they got her family and that she was sorry that her family got lost. she is a cutie!

5 Years!

Paul and I celebrated our five year anniversary on Saturday. I woke up and he made me waffles for breakfast. The night before he had brought me home a bouquet of Easter Lilies. It was a nice morning. He has already given me a rain check to be used when I want to to go out to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner and then to a movie. Wow I can't believe we have been married for five years. It has been a great five years and I look forward to the next five! I love you Paul!

Lily's Three!

I am catching up on posts. On Wednesday the 21st Lily turned three!! We had a family party for her on Sunday the 18th and a friend party is coming up in June. She enjoyed celebrating with family and she especially enjoyed eating her cake and opening presents. She got an outfit and a little stuffed dog with carrier from grandma and grandpa. She got the game Don't spill the beans from Paul and Me and she has other gifts coming from her friend party. I can't believe she is three now I am excited for all of the new things she will learn this year.!

Kyler

Paul and I got to welcome our new nephew into the world on Thursday. He is a cutie. when I saw his feet and hands for the first time I laughed because they are bigger than Brooklyn's and she is four months old. granted Brooklyn is pretty petite. Kyler was born on Thursday morning around 7:45 a.m. and he weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and was 21 inches long. He has a good amount of hair that is a dark brown maybe black. I am looking forward to when he and Brooklyn get a little older and can play together like Lily and McKenna play together.!

Car Problems

First off I have to remind everyone that Paul and I only have one car. So now our one car is in the shop because Paul got rear ended on Saturday. So I turned the car into the body shop on Monday and went to go pick up the rental car it took them two hours to give me the rental and then at the last second they gave me a minivan instead of a car which was fine because they did not increase the price. So late that night we have issues with the van and Paul ends up turning it in on Tuesday for a new vehicle. We got a Mazda 5 which I really enjoy driving. Though today when we woke up the back tire was flat and so then I went out and tried for an hour and a half to get it fixed and finally paid for it myself because the rental place was giving me and the tire place the run around and Lily was grumpy and Brooklyn was tired at this point and I did not want to wait around for another hour or two while the tire place was waiting for approval. Needless to say I have not had a good time with cars the past couple of days.

Brooklyn

Wow I can't believe that Brooklyn is almost four months old. It still seems like she was born yesterday. She is getting bigger though about two weeks ago she started to roll up unto her side from her back and she is getting really close to being able to rollover from her tummy to her back. One of her favorite things to do is to play on her floor gym. She also likes to sit up with assistance. She loves to be swaddled up to go to sleep. She is also learning to hold her own bottle for her feedings when I am at work. It is alot of fun watching her learn and grow.

I'm not cool!!

The other day we were driving around running around doing some errands and on our way home we went over a bump. Afterwards Lily said "That was cool" so I responded with " Well I think your cool Lily" which Lily responded "I'm not cool cause I'm not a bump". Paul and I started laughing and we agree that kids minds and thoughts are very interesting.

Rachel's bridal shower

Well this past saturday I attended my soon to be sister in law's bridal shower. Her name is Rachel Russell and her and Paul's brother Alex are getting married on June 6th in the Logan Temple. It was a nice shower and I enjoyed getting to know Rachel better as well as getting to know Rachel's mom Chris better. It was also nice just visiting with everyone. Here is a picture of the cute couple.
