Lily's Birthday Party!

Well we finally got to do Lily's birthday party with friends and cousins today. It was alot of fun we just went to Murray Park and played some games with water balloons and then gave the kids water guns and they went crazy just chasing one another and some of the adults. It was fun to watch the kids just running around playing with one another while the adults visited. The the kids decorated their own cupcakes and Lily opened her presents. She got an Ariel bath doll, and she got a sleeping beauty princess doll. She also got a princess toy camera, She got playdough, a jump rope and some play food. She also got a my little pony, a bug catching kit, some Frisbee's, and sidewalk chalk. She had alot of fun opening her presents. It was a good day and it was nice to visit with family and friends and watch the children play together.

Alex and Rachel's Wedding

Yeah the wedding is over and I have a new sister in law. Lily was very excited for the party and was very glad to get a new pretty dress for the occassion. The temple ceremony was very nice and the Logan temple is beautiful. The only glitch was that it started to rain when they went outside to get the pictures on the temple grounds. The reception was a lot of fun the dessert bar was wonderful. Here are some pictures from the fun event.

In thirty seconds

Earlier this week I went downstairs to use the restroom for about thirty seconds to a minute and when I came back up this is what Lily managed to do to herself with a marker though she also got the bottom of her feet and up the side of one leg!

The sweet moments

So I wanted to just get on and say how grateful I am for my two girls and how much they make me smile. Brooklyn is a sweet heart that just smiles all of the time especially when you talk to her. She also loves to eat her hands and she is starting to make new sounds I just love to give her kisses. When it comes to Lily she keeps me on my toes and man is she is a smarty pants. Like today we are in the midst of potty training her and one time that I took her to the bathroom today she looks over at me and just says " Mom you are just fabulous" and then she gave me a huge smile :) Then later tonight after I got off work I was telling Paul that my back is probably going to hurt tomorrow as I was holding a toddler while I was cleaning. So a few minutes later Lily walks over to me and says "Mom my feet are killing my back" She picks up on things she hears quite fast. I am just trying to enjoy these moments I have with my girls when I am home with them instead of at work :)

Memorial Day Weekend!

Yeah for Memorial Day weekend and time off of work! Paul and I went up and visited the campers this year even though we did not stay overnight. We did not have a tent as ours has a hole in it and Brooklyn has been sick this week so we thought it was best to keep her at home. It was still fun to go up in the mountains and take in the scenery and fresh air. We went up on Saturday and Sunday. When we went up on Sunday we brought Lily's bag of stuff to stay the night and when we left we said goodbye to her and she was all happy and told us she would see us tomorrow. Well about twenty five minutes after we left we got a phone call from Lily wondering if she could come home. we were told that she had asked to sit on daddy's lap and when she was told we were not there she started to cry. Uncle Mike was nice enough to drive her down to our place on his way home ( thank for the rest of you who offered to drive her as well) It was funny though when Mike got to our place he said she was talking about monsters and how they got her family and that she was sorry that her family got lost. she is a cutie!

5 Years!

Paul and I celebrated our five year anniversary on Saturday. I woke up and he made me waffles for breakfast. The night before he had brought me home a bouquet of Easter Lilies. It was a nice morning. He has already given me a rain check to be used when I want to to go out to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner and then to a movie. Wow I can't believe we have been married for five years. It has been a great five years and I look forward to the next five! I love you Paul!
